Description
Let’s take a bicycle and discover the city of Kyoto at your own pace, far away from the crowded public transportation! Kyoto is a flat city surrounded by beautiful mountains, ideal for cycling. There are many bicycle shops in Kyoto and many places and hidden gems easily accessible by bike.
In this tour, we will rent a bicycle in the city center and then ride along the Kamo River. We will visit the Imperial Palace to learn about the Imperial Family and their history, which is deeply rooted in Kyoto. We will have a lunch break during which you can experience the Kyoto cuisine at a local restaurant before visiting some hidden gems and backstreets.
We will also ride on Philosopher’s path, surrounded by nature and historical temples, and have a short break at a cafe if you would desire so. After returning the bikes, I will introduce the Geisha culture, take you to the historical Geisha streets and explain about their traditional lifestyle.
